Delmar man arrested for manufacturing meth

DELMAR, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a Delmar man Tuesday afternoon in connection with the manufacturing of meth.

We’re told that at around 3 p.m., members of the Governor’s Task Force were contacted by Probation and Parole after they found evidence indicative of a one-pot methamphetamine lab in a detached shed while executing an administrative warrant for the offender, 32-year-old William Williams.

Members of the Sussex Governors Task Force and the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control responded and confirmed the presence of the meth manufacturing lab. No evacuations were ordered as it was determined that there was no immediate hazard to nearby residents.

Officials say a total of .52 grams of meth and materials used to manufacture meth were seized.

Williams was arrested and charged with unlawful to knowingly operate or attempt to operate a clandestine laboratory, possession with intent to deliver/manufacture a controlled substance, and possess consume a controlled or counterfeit substance. He is currently being held at SCI on $25,500 secured bond.
