Dover Police Arrest Two Teens for Sept. 1 Armed Robbery

DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department have arrested two teenagers in connection with an early morning armed robbery that occurred on Sept. 1.

Through the investigation into the robbery, police were able to identify the suspects and warrants were obtained for their arrest. 

An unnamed 17-year-old from Dover was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 17, in the 800 block of West North Street. He was also found to have a handgun with an obliterated serial number. He was committed to Stevenson House on $25,000 secured bail on a litany of charges including first degree robbery and third degree assault.

Rshawn Chappell, an 18-year-old from Dover, pictured above, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 18, in the area of West Division Street and Kent Avenue. Chappell was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $56,000 cash bail on similar charges.
