Last minute shoppers grab turkeys

SALISBURY, Md. – There was a lot of traffic today in grocery stores across Delmarva, as people scrambled to get the last few things they needed for Thanksgiving. The 47ABC news team was at Acme Wednesday as Turkeys were flying off the shelves. Without fail, every year, there are those last-minute shoppers that wait until thanksgiving to get what they need. Fortunately for shoppers, Acme was fully stocked. From Butterball turkeys to hams, to cranberry sauce and stuffing Thanksgiving is going to taste great this year.

One customer, Jalesa Hull, who was searching for ham tells us, “I was going to do it earlier but then I was like I kind of need to pick that up today, it’s Wednesday.”

47ABC’s Julian Sadur hunted aisle by aisle looking for last-minute shoppers grabbing the holiday essentials.

Therman Brown, who was shopping for cheese, tells us he had to grab some cheese for dinner, if he didn’t he’d be a dead man. When asked who would do the deed, he claims his mom because she doesn’t play around when it comes to mac and cheese.

Another customer, Liz Benton shared her roasted brussel sprouts recipe with us, “Parmesan cheese, olive oil, bacon and then you put them in the broiler”.

If Thanksgiving eve wasn’t convenient enough, don’t worry. Acme opens Thanksgiving at 6 am.
