Nassau Road to be Closed for Several Weeks

LEWES, Del. – The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) has announced a lengthy road closure on Nassau Road at State Route 1, set to begin on Monday, Sept. 22.

The closure is scheduled for the installation of storm drain pipes under Nassau Road. Work will continue through the end of October, weather permitting. 

DelDOT has instructed motorists traveling northbound on State Route 1 to continue past Nassau Road, followed by taking a right turn to return to Nassau Road. Motorists traveling southbound on State Route 1 will take a left onto Nassau Road at the first intersection.

Motorists are reminded to use caution in the work zone and plan for minor travel delays.
