DSP arrest two on drugs, weapons charges during traffic stop
BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested two people on multiple charges following a traffic stop Tuesday evening.
According to police, at around 8:13 p.m., a gray Honda Accord was seen traveling above the posted speed limit on Coverdale Road in Bridgeville. After stopping the vehicle, the trooper discovered that neither occupant was wearing a seat belt. A firearm was also seen in plain view, and the occupants’ 7-month-old child was not properly restrained.
The occupants, identified as 23-year-old Alondra Santiago and 23-year-old Wenndalon Green, initially gave the trooper a false name. It was learned through a computer check that Green had active capiases for traffic violations.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of approximately 33.63 grams of marijuana and approximately 31.97 grams of THC.
Santiago was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon (firearm), provide false statement to law enforcement, conspiracy second degree, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of marijuana, speeding, and other seat belt related violations. She was released on $35,400 unsecured bond.
Green was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon (firearm), provide false statement to law enforcement, conspiracy second degree, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was released on $44,000 unsecured bond.
