Delaware Police Arrest Felton Teen for Car Theft
FELTON, Del. – The Delaware State Police (DSP) have arrested a man in connection with a car theft that occurred on Friday.
At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 12, troopers responded to a residence on Cabin Ridge Road for a report of a stolen car. Upon arriving, troopers learned a 2016 Dodge Journey, withe the keys left inside, had been stolen from the driveway overnight. A credit card inside the car was also used to make an unauthorized purchase.
At approximately 10:51 a.m., troopers were notified that the reported stolen car was at a residence on Nathaniel Mitchell Road in Dover. Troopers responded, and took 18-year-old Adam Green of Felton into custody without incident. Both the keys to the Dodge and the vehicle itself were recovered.
A computer check also revealed that Green failed to follow his court ordered curfew and had cut off his GPS ankle monitor during the early hours.
Green was taken to DSP Troop 3, where he was charged with felony theft of a motor vehicle and third degree trespassing. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $3,501 cash bond.
