UPDATE: Missing Elderly Woman in Fenwick Island FOUND
UPDATE: Fenwick Island Police issued a statement on Facebook on Friday evening at 7:41 p.m. stating that Klein had been found.
“We are happy to report Ms. Kay Klein has been located and has been reunited with her family. Thank you to all agencies involved for their assistance and to the public for all your help.”
FENWICK ISLAND, Del. – The Fenwick Island Police Department (FIPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 83-year-old woman who was last seen Thursday afternoon.
Kay Klein was last seen on East Atlantic Street at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Sept. 11. She was wearing a dark wind breaker, dark clothing and a floral visor. Authorities are concerned about Klein’s safety, as she is in the early stages of dementia.
FIPD was joined by the Bethany Beach Fire Department, Delaware State Police, and the United States Coast Guard as they continued their search this morning around 7:30 a.m. Residents and businesses in the area are asked to check their video surveillance systems for any signs of Klein.
Anyone with possible information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
