Downtown Cambridge Going ‘Gold’ for Second Saturday
(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – If you’re a fan of a certain sitcom from the 1980s, you’ll want to hear what’s happening in the city of Cambridge this weekend.
As part their Second Saturday, Cambridge Main Street is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the pilot episode of the hit tv show, the Golden Girls.
The reason for theming this Second Saturday around the hit show is because Bea Arthur who was famous for playing Dorothy on the show, spent her teenage years in the heart of Dorchester County.
Cambridge Main Street says they’re catering this event to fans of the show and is selling out quickly.
“I don’t think that we had quite an idea as to how many people would be interested in this event. We’ve gotten some great feedback from it, so we’re just very excited to have people come out and again, their best Golden Girls attire this weekend and celebrate second Saturday with us in a in a pretty spectacular way,” says Main Street Director, Christina Wingate-Spence.
If you’re interested in taking part, details can be found on Cambridge Main Street’s website.
