Dover Police searching for elderly man with dementia

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police have issued a Gold Alert for 74-year-old Johnathan Norwig.

Police say Norwig was last seen leaving a medical appointment in the 1000 block of South State Street when he failed to tell an accompanying family member that he was leaving. Norwig is 5′, 165 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark jacket. He was driving a white Chevrolet Astro van with Maryland registration 59134CA.

Norwig reportedly suffers from dementia and there is a concern for his safety.
