Missing Person Found Dead in Wicomico River
SALISBURY, Md. – A man was found dead in the Wicomico River on Monday morning.
Police responded to the area of Mill Street and West Main Street around 9:30 a.m. to recover a male body that was found west of Mill Street in the Wicomico River. Detectives have identified the victim as 29-year-old Deaquan White, who had been reported missing to the Salisbury Police Department a few days prior on Sept. 6. Detectives are still investigating the circumstances around White being found in the water. His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
Detectives reported conducting an extensive investigation, utilizing multiple resources in an effort to locate Mr. White after he was reported missing. These efforts included interviews with known
family members and associates, detailed searches of areas Mr. White was last known to be located, as well as various mobile communication inquiries. Mr. White’s family was notified once his identification was confirmed.
