History Buffs Prepare for Vintage Decoy Show

(DORCHESTER COUNTY, Md) – If you’re a history buff and an avid hunter.. then this upcoming event in Dorchester County is for you.

The Delmarva Decoy Collector’s Association is getting ready to put on their 6th annual Vintage Decoy and Memorabilia Show later on this month.

Plenty of decoys and vintage hunting equipment will be on display.

And the Dorchester County Historical Society is excited for one of the largest hunting groups on the East Coast to gather for this show.

“You never know what you’re going to find there. There’s going to be gunpowder tins as well as decoys, contemporary decoys. And who knows what might show up. They were very much a utilitarian item. And like even the popularity with oyster cans, if something that was thrown away…” says Dorchester County Historical Society’s Vice-Chair, Kim Newcomb.
