MSP Conducts Investigation into June Fox-Killing Incident
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Maryland State Police (MSP) has launched an investigation into a report from June of dive team members allegedly getting drunk and killing foxes while at the U.S. Coast Guard station in Ocean City.
According to multiple sources, the investigation originates from an incident that occurred during this summer’s OC Air Show. The MSP Dive Team was staying in tents at the Coast Guard station during the event, and reports allege that one or more members became intoxicated and began to shoot at wild foxes with air rifles, killing at least one in the process.
Elena Russo, a spokesperson for the agency, told WMDT in a statement, “The Maryland State Police is aware of the incident. An administrative investigation is currently being conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding this event.”
