Millsboro man arrested on felony charges

MILLSBORO, Del. — A Millsboro man was arrested Friday after Delaware State Police found drugs and ammunition during a search of his home.

Troopers said 38-year-old Djuan Sheppard faces felony drug and weapon charges after investigators executed a search warrant Aug. 29 at a residence on the 27000 block of Mount Joy Road.

The search was conducted by the Sussex County Drug Unit, the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team. Police said the warrant followed an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics from the home.

Four adults, including Sheppard, were detained inside the residence.

During the search, investigators found about 44.81 grams of crack cocaine, 0.28 grams of cocaine, digital scales, and 9mm ammunition, according to police.
