Cambridge PD Cracking Down on Reckless Driving
(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – Cambridge law enforcement is cracking down on reckless drivers in the city limits.
It’s part of their Proactive Community Engagement (PACE), cracking down on bad driving habits, from speeding to distracted driving and road rage.
The Cambridge Police Department announced early Tuesday morning that just during the latest survey period in the last few days, they’ve issued over 70 warnings and citations.
Police Chief Justin Todd spoke about cracking down on reckless driving to make major roads in the Dorchester County community safer, especially around this time of year.
“And especially as school starts, we need to make sure our kids are safe, whether walking, biking and our busses are safe as well. And I want the public to know that we do not take traffic violations and people having issues with being able to abide by the rules of the road lightly.”
According to a release sent out by the Cambridge Police Department– the initiative has also yielded results for drug busts.
