Cambridge Leadership Sees Large Turnout for Comprehensive Plan
(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The City of Cambridge is finishing up their public feedback period regarding their long-term Comprehensive Plan.
Throughout the course of the week, city leadership has allowed members of the public of all ages to have their voices heard on how to shape the city over the next ten years.
City Manager, Glenn Steckman says they’ve had major turnout over the course of the week, including over 150 people during the public forum Monday night.
He says hearing each and every one of those voices will be critical in shaping the Comprehensive Plan.
Steckman says, “For a successful, comprehensive plan, the residents need to be involved. It’s just not a select group of people putting together their vision. It really, a good comprehensive plan has a lot of diverse views. So that it’s really reflective of what the community needs.”
The City of Cambridge is hosting a final meeting Friday evening to discuss the turnout and feedback they’ve gotten for the Comprehensive Plan.
