Red, White and Boom set to honor military

Come the fourth of July in Wicomico County all eyes will be on the sky over the county stadium where Red White and Boom will fill the skies with their annual fireworks show.
Gates open at 6:30 Monday night and the fireworks start at 9:15.
This year we’re told there will be more food vendors and ice cream made on the spot.
Another change this year, a tribute to those in the armed forces will be done at the start of the show to honor blue and gold star families.
First, a single blue firework will be set off to honor the blue star families, those who have a member of their family serving in the military.
Then after 10 seconds, a single gold firework will be set off, to honor the gold star families. Families who have had a member of their family die during their military service.

“We’re trying to honor those blue star families and gold star families and let them know that the community cares and I just think it’s a great tribute to them and we’re thrilled to be able to provide that,” Mike Dunn with Red, White and Boom said.
During the fireworks a music selection will be played at Wicomico County stadium courtesy of a local radio station.
