Man arrested for stealing vehicle, fleeing from police

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested a man Monday morning after he fled from officers in a stolen vehicle.

Officers were in the Kings Cliff Mobile Home Park taking a report of a stolen work van when officers in the area saw the stolen vehicle traveling southbound in the area of North DuPont Highway. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver continued to drive, running a red light at the South Bay Road Split and S. Little Creek Road.

The vehicle eventually stopped in the Kings Cliff Mobile Home Park, where the driver, 56-year-old Kenneth Conner, was taken into custody. He was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, disregard police signal, and additional traffic violations, and is currently being held at SCI on a $4,050 secured bond.
