Bayside Park at 3rd street continues to be popular among residents
OCEAN CITY, Md. — The Ocean City skate park has been upgraded, but for community members, the park has shaped the community itself.
The park offers a variety of amenities, including a basketball court, tennis court, playgrounds and a skate park.
Ethan Greszzyk, a 9-year skateboarding veteran, said the renovations to the skate park have taken his experience to the next level. “100% made this a more year-round thing,” he said. “We’ve got bathrooms now, a hangout area and vending machines that work.”
Goran Popov, an exchange student from Macedonia, has similar sentiments. “Every time I come here, I see new people at the skateboard park, which is really popular,” he said. “People play tennis and basketball, and it’s really a good thing.”
Popov said the park allows him to stay active and develop relationships with community members. He described the park as a hub of activity.
Ethan called the park a second home. “I’m out here 4 or 5 days a week,” he said. “Getting clips, hanging out with friends, and being here for so long has added a bunch of new opportunities.”
