Cambridge City Hall Looking for Public Feedback
(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The City of Cambridge is looking to get public feedback later this month. It’s all part of a plan that looks ahead for years to come.
It’s so that they can begin to build what’s known as their Comprehensive Plan.
Cambridge City Manager, Glenn Steckman says the plan is a vision for how they can improve the city of Cambridge over the course of the next ten years. And he wants everyone in the city to have their voices heard.
“We also need to take into consideration what our children will want now, ten years from now. So it’s trying to get everybody involved, especially younger families. We’re trying to get the elderly residents, and we are trying to get our business owners…” says Steckman.
There will be multiple sessions from Monday August 18th to Friday, the 22nd.
Steckman also told me that city leaders frequently hear that kids in the community don’t have enough to do. And he’s hoping there’s going to be a strong community turnout.
Glenn tells us, “This approach is very much public driven, public input driven, and we’re hoping that a lot of people will take advantage so we can have a very inclusive, comprehensive plan.”
If you’re interested in having your voice heard, the city will have sessions on the following dates:
-Monday August 16th at 6 P.M. at 447 Race Street
-Tuesday, August 19th from 9 A.M. to 6P.M. at 322 Gay Street
-Wednesday, August 20th, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at 322 Gay Street
-Thursday, August 21st from 9 A.M. to 6P.M. at 322 Gay Street
-Friday, August 22nd at 6.P.M. at Elks Lodge #223 at 618 Pine Street
