UPDATE: Power restored after morning outage in Laurel

A morning power outage in Laurel reportedly turned off traffic lights, but has since been restored.

Laurel Police initially told 47 ABC that they had units on the scene, but they weren’t sure what caused the outage.

Delmarva Power was first reporting that there about 2,060 customers without power in the area, but downgraded it to about 115, before power was restored to all.

The cause of the outage was apparently a downed wire in the area. Power was apparently knocked out around 10:00 AM, and was expected to be restored around 2:00 PM.
