Wicomico Co. Sheriff’s Office, First Baptist Church to host back-to-school bash

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office has a fun day planned for students.

The department is partnering with the First Baptist Church in Salisbury for a back-to-school bash.

Law enforcement will be there, cheering kids on ahead of the 2025 academic year, and they’ll be giving out free school supplies.

Sheriff Lewis said the event is a nice way to end the summer,
and start the kids out right for the school year.

“It is a big event. I’ll be there, there will be a sheriff’s deputy there to interact with the children, and it’s just to make sure that kids get excited, and they are excited; they are pumped up about going back to school,” said Sheriff Lewis.

The event will take place at the First Baptist Church on August 23rd, from 10-2.
