A funeral date has been set for a Lewes Fire Department member who fell from a helicopter, Monday night.

According to the Lewes Fire Department, firefighter Tim McClanahan’s viewing is set for Saturday, July 16 from 6-9 PM at Parsell Funeral Home, on 16961 Kings Highway in Lewes. McClanahan’s viewing has reportedly been set for Sunday July 17 from 12-3 PM at Cape Henlopen High School on 1250 Kings Highway in Lewes. For the viewing, guests are reportedly advised to use the Savannah Road entrance

McClanahan’s funeral mass has reportedly been scheduled for Sunday July 17 at 3 PM at Cape Henlopen High School, on 1250 Kings Highway in Lewes. Guests are again reportedly advised to use the Savannah Road entrance.

Firefighter Tim McClanahan died after falling from a state police helicopter during training at the Delaware Coastal Airport on Rudder Lane on Monday night.

The Lewes Fire Department says that the final alarm procession for Tim McClanahan has been scheduled for Sunday July 17, immediately following the mass. The funeral reception for McClanahan will reportedly be on Sunday July 17, immediately following the services at the Lewes Fire Department Station. The exact address of the reception is 2 32198 Janice Road in Lewes.

Departments are reportedly limited to one piece of equipment because of how many people are expected to attend, the space, and traffic.
