Salisbury Fills Key Leadership Roles

 

(SALISBURY, Md) – The City of Salisbury is seeing a shakeup with some of their city leadership.

This comes after a closed session for the Salisbury City Council to fill some leadership vacancies.

The City announced early Tuesday afternoon that they have named Allen Swiger as he interim Deputy City Manager and Michael Lowe as the Director of Procurement.

Both men have served the city of Salisbury for more than a decade across various departments.

Salisbury Mayor, Randy Taylor met with us late Tuesday afternoon about promoting from within the city.

“Well, there’s always an ongoing amount of work to be done. You know, whenever you have vacancies, you need to fill them quickly because you need to keep on doing the work. And we’ve gotten two really, three really good appointments to the work that needs to be done in the city,” says Mayor Taylor.

Mayor Taylor says that, Salisbury will also have an acting City Administrator.

In a release sent out by the city, they say the appointments were geared towards efficiency when it comes to the service delivery of Salisbury’s government.
