Another plea deal eyed in Kent County drug case

(AP) – A plea deal could be in the works for one of the alleged ringleaders of what authorities say was a Kent County drug trafficking ring.
Tyra Mills is one of more than a dozen people arrested earlier this year following a 10-month wiretap investigation.
Appearing in court Thursday, Mills waived her right to a speedy trial. Her lawyer said afterward that he is working with the prosecution on a possible plea deal for Mills, who faces several felony counts, including racketeering.
Authorities announced last week that two brothers arrested along with Mills had been sentenced after pleading guilty to drug dealing and other crimes.
Jermaine Brinkley was sentenced to 14 years in prison, while George Brinkley was sentenced to eight and a half years behind bars.
