EASTON, Md. — Pastor Daniel Omar Fuentes, of the Nazareno Jesus Te Ama Church, has been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and is now awaiting his next transfer at the Baltimore ICE Detention Center following a temporary hold at a Salisbury immigration detainee facility.
The church confirmed Fuentes’ apprehension via social media earlier today. The Star Democrat newspaper in Easton broke the story after speaking with Fuentes’ daughter, Clarissa Fuentes Diaz, who says her father, a Honduran-born immigrant, was arrested on Monday after running errands around town.
WMDT’s Haley Rae is in Easton today to get more details on this developing story.
