Wicomico Library Prepares to Unveil Future Site of New Facility

(SALISBURY, Md) – The Wicomico County Public Library is preparing to be sharing the future site of their new library.

The project has been in the works for over a year, as the library board is set to move from their location in Downtown Salisbury, to Schumaker Drive.

Executive Director, Seth Herschberger is excited to share the renderings for the new library with the public for the first time, and he’s excited for the library to expand to be more accessible.

“We’re excited that there will still be a library branch downtown. But we believe that having a library that’s much more accessible to seniors and families with young children will be better for the community. And we’re so excited how how beautiful that library is going to be there,” says Herschberger.

The ribbon cutting will be taking place at the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art at 909 South Schumaker Drive in Salisbury on Tuesday.

WMDT’s Haley Rae will be providing coverage on the ribbon cutting.
