Women’s Club of Milton hosting town-wide summer food drive

MILTON, Del. – The Women’s Club of Milton is hosting a summer food drive to benefit the Milton Community Food Pantry.

The drive will be town-wide and run from July 23rd to July 30th.

Organizers are looking for new, unexpired, nonperishable food items like cereal, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables and canned tuna.

The Community Food Pantry is also accepting monetary donations.

“We service a lot of senior citizens who are on limited incomes and can’t afford food maybe and medication at the same time,” said Donna Murawski, Vice President of the Milton Community Food Pantry. “We also service a lot families that people have disabilities, they’re undergoing cancer treatments things like that and a lot of young families that are working but they can’t make ends meet in today’s economy.”

You can drop off donations at the Milton Community Food Pantry on Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm.
