Menocal Family Practice Owner, saddened to close doors

Salisbury, Md. — Last week, Menocal Family Practice announced the closure of their local family practice in Salisbury.

Staff at Menocal Family Practice said they were surprised to learn the facility’s owner was shutting it down. Physician and owner Julio Menocal said he is sad to close the location but added that he aims to help underserved communities.

Menocal said that while this location proved to be financially challenging, he still wants to support local residents. “We can do a lot of support remotely from offices as far away as Hagerstown to Boonsboro, Frederick and Baltimore. We can do virtual visits. We can do prescriptions until people can find their regular providers,” he said.

The site closes July 25 and will be taking calls until Aug. 29.
