State Highway Administration to begin resurfacing US 13 next week

SOMERSET CO., Md. – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will start resurfacing southbound US 13 (Ocean Highway) between MD 675 (Somerset Avenue) and Stewart Neck Road in Somerset County on July 14.

The project is expected to be complete by late August.

Drivers can expect single lane closures Mondays through Thursdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. as crews begin milling and resurfacing. The single lane closures will be in place until the project has been completed.

Drivers are asked to drive slow, stay alert and be aware of reduced speed limits and changing driving patterns in the working zone.
