Ocean City expected huge crowds for July 4th celebration
OCEAN CITY, Md. — The town is buzzing with traffic, as Highways 50 and 90 are extremely congested with people celebrating the July 4 holiday.
The resort town’s tourism and business development director, Tom Perlozzo, tells WMDT this is one of its biggest economic drivers of the year.
He recommends people arrive in Ocean City before the festivities begin tomorrow.
“July 4 in Ocean City is a terrific time to be at the beach, especially when Mother Nature is treating us well: great sunshine and great economic opportunities for our local businesses and vacationers to enjoy. And we shoot off two spectacular fireworks displays.”
Firework demonstrations will take place at North Division Street and Northside Park. Both events begin at 9:30 p.m.
