Man arrested for DUI after crash with school bus on Harry Kelly Bridge in Ocean City

The Maryland State Police say they received a report of a crash involving a school bus in Ocean City, on Wednesday morning.

Troopers were reportedly sent out around 7:15 AM to a crash on Route 50 the Harry Kelly Bridge.

According to the report, a Lincoln sedan crossed into the fast lane, where it made contact with a school bus, driven by 53-year-old Donald Moore, of Berlin. Officials say that the school bus had two children on board, ages 7 and 8, and both vehicles continued east, before stopping at an intersection.

Both vehicles reportedly had minor damage however, no one was said to be injured in this crash. Officials say that 21-year-old Kyle Kenny, of Pennsylvania the driver of the sedan, was arrested for DUI after field sobriety  testing.

According to the report, while he was in custody, Kenny became combative and assaulted a trooper, however the trooper was not injured.

Officials say that Kenny was charged with second degree assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, driving under the influence, driving while impaired, driving under combined influence, and negligent driving.

Kenny was reportedly then taken before the District Court Commissioner for his charges, and is now being held on a $5,000 bond.
