Dorchester Co. Recs & Parks Implements New Public Pool Policy

(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – Dorchester County’s Recreation and Parks Department has announced new pool rules.

Starting earlier this week – the community pool in Cambridge will only be open from noon to 4 P.M., with membership-only access until 6 P.M.

Officials say the change had to be made because lifeguards were being verbally threatened.

“We had a few incidences that occurred within the last week or so that involve threats to our staff and the patrons and, some altercations, assault per se,” says Dorchester Recreation and Parks Director, Duc Trieu.
