Cooling Centers opening across Delmarva as extreme heat impacts the area

DELMARVA – A number of Cooling Centers are opening across Delmarva, with most of the area under an Excessive Heat Warning.

Somerset County

  • Princess Anne Library (11767 Beechwood Street): open 10 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Thursday
  • Crisfield Library (100 Collins Street): open 10 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Thursday

Wicomico County

  • Wicomico County Civic Center Flanders Room 5, 6, and 7: open 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday; and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday
  • MAC, Inc. Senior Center: open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday for residents aged 55 and over

Dorchester County

  • Dorchester County Library (330 Gay Street, Cambridge): open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday
  • Hurlock Library (222 S. Main Street, Hurlock): open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday
  • Overflow Ministries (400 Muir Street, Cambridge): open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday
  • One Mission (614 Race Street): open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
  • New Birth Ministries (1006 Phillips Street, Cambridge): open only during Extreme Heat Advisory

Sussex County

  • County Admin Building (2 The Circle, Georgetown): open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Greenwood Library (100 Mill Street, Greenwood): open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
  • Milton Library (121 Union Street, Milton): open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
