Former Maryland police officer dies in Parsonsburg crash

a retired police officer died yesterday afternoon — following a car crash. we’re now finding out — because of certain factors — like the minimal damage to the cars involved — investigators believe the former officer may have died because of a medical emergency — rather than because of injuries sustained in the crash. but they are still waiting on the medical examiner’s findings — before ruling on a cause of death. according to-s-p — 74-year-old ronald miner was driving east on mount hermon road — near waste gate road — when he suddenly crossed the double yellow line in the roadway — hitting a car driving west on the same road. police say, the woman driving the car — as well as two young children in the vehicle — sustained non-life threatening injuries — because the cars collided at an angle — not head on. miner was reportedly a 40-year law enforcement officer in the state of maryland — serving with both baltimore and howard county police departments. coming up- more from our folks at the delaware state
