Crews repair sinkhole on Naylor Mill Rd.

SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury city officials repaired a sinkhole on Naylor Mill Road.

The sinkhole, which started as a pothole, was at the intersection of East Naylor Mill Road and North Mall Drive.

Crews were out at 8:30am, patching it up, and the roads were opened back up to traffic a few hours later.

Utilities superintendent, Trey Klaverweiden said this is an effort to maintain the city’s water system.

“It had been developing for a while, it wasn’t anything major. Crews filled it in in about three hours; they went back out there today to raise the manhole covering grade,” said Klaverweiden.
