WMDT honored at annual CAPBA Awards

DELMARVA – WMDT was honored to take home two awards at the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association banquet Saturday night.

Chief Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek was awarded first place for Best Meteorologist, while Han Cechini and Mike Lawrence were awarded first place for Outstanding Serious Feature for their piece, Family Desperate for Answers.

Additionally, Chris Brunk and Kolby Redden received second place for Outstanding Spot News Reporting, and Jake Grant and Kolby Redden received second place for Outstanding News Series.
