Harbeson man charged in connection to burglary at fire station
MILLSBORO, Del. – A Harbeson man has been charged following a burglary investigation at the Indian River Fire Company.
Troopers say the investigation began on Wednesday, during which it was learned that during the overnight hours of June 4th, an unknown man had entered the fire station through an unlocked door. The suspect then allegedly damaged an office door, stole property, and fled the scene.
Further investigation led police to identify the suspect as 52-year-old Eugene Marple, who police say is not a member of the fire company.
Marple was subseqently charged with third degree burglary, theft under $1500, and criminal mischief under $1000. He was later released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.
