(AP) – The State Fire Marshal’s Office says a 16-year-old has been charged with setting a fire in a building in a trailer park in New Castle that injured a firefighter.
The agency says in a news release Tuesday that the fire was reported July 20 at the Delaware Auto Court on South DuPont Highway. A firefighter was injured battling the blaze and was treated and released. Damage was estimated at $50,000.
Authorities say the teenager, who was staying in an apartment in the building, set materials on fire. He has been charged with arson, assault and reckless endangering.
