Emerging Leader: Gabriela Maroto

WMDT – This week’s new Emerging Leader is Salisbury University senior Gabriela Maroto, who recently earned the 2025 C.G. Turner Two and Cambridge University Press Poster Competition Award from the Dental Anthropology Association.

We’re told the prize is awarded to an exceptional student research poster exploring dental anthropological themes such as forensic anthropology, evolution, anatomy, or any field that draws dental data.

Maroto stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to talk about the award, her plans, and to offer advice for other students looking to pursue their passion.
