Hurlock man arrested for kidnapping in Sussex Co.
GEORGETOWN, Del. – A Hurlock man is behind bars in Delaware on kidnapping charges.
At around 8 a.m. on May 3rd, Georgetown Police were contacted by Seaford Police about a reported kidnapping of an adult that happened in the town limits of Georgetown about an hour prior. Seaford officers advised that they made contact with the victim at the Motel 6 in Seaford, learning that he was allegedly taken from Georgetown against his will and escaped from the suspect vehicle in Seaford. The victim also told police that the suspect took him after he helped another man avoid a potential assault from the suspect.
Police were able to identify the suspect as Michael Still and obtained a warrant for him, charging him with first degree kidnapping, terroristic threatening, and offensive touching.
On Tuesday, Dover Police contacted Georgetown Police to notify them that they had Still in custody following a traffic stop. Georgetown Police took over custody of Still, who was subsequently held at SCI on a $26,500 cash bail.
