IRSD to hold public meetings for upcoming referendum

SELBYVILLE, Del. – The Indian River School District has announced plans to hold three public meetings in the next several weeks to highlight the current expense referendum scheduled for early June.

The meetings will be held as follows:

  • Wednesday, May 14th: Millsboro Middle School at 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 21st: Lord Baltimore Elementary School at 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 28th: Indian River High School at 7 p.m.

District officials will give a presentation outlining the referendum initiative. The public is invited and will have the chance to ask questions.

The referendum is seeking funding for increased operating costs and to maintain a competitive salary package for staff. The referendum is scheduled for June 5th.
