Man arrested on numerous charges at Milford park

MILFORD, Del. – A man was arrested on multiple charges at a Milford park late Saturday night.

Shortly after 11 p.m., officers saw a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Bicentennial Park and made contact with the driver due to the fact that it was after hours. During the conversation with the driver, identified as 38-year-old Gerald Dixon, officers reportedly saw drug paraphernalia in plain view, subsequently finding Dixon in possession of powdered cocaine, a handgun, and ammunition.

Dixon was subsequently arrested and charged with multiple drug and gun offenses, as well as a violation for being in a city park after hours. He was later released on a $31,001 unsecured bail and will be placed on pre-trial supervision at a later date.

There is no mugshot available of Dixon at this time.
