SALISBURY, Md. – It’s a sure sign of spring, the 3rd Annual Colors of Holi Festival returns to Salisbury at the end of May.

The festival is normally held in March in parts of India, but will be held next month here in Salisbury for the best possible weather conditions.

There will be tons of entertainment, with a DJ, dancing, food and most importantly, a traditional color throw.

Attendees will be showered with a wide array of vibrant colors.

The event is put on by the group “Blending Cultures Society.”

“We blend all the cultures together so this is one of the reasons where people can come and see the diversity and people can hang out and people can know what exactly Holi is and what other festivals there are across the world that people celebrate,” said Suparna Nandi, Event Organizer.

“This is the first time we got an opportunity to do something for Nepal in Salisbury, so I think this is going to be a good opportunity for everybody to come together and share our culture with the community,” said Pragya Satyal, one of the board members of the Blending Cultures Society.

The free event will take place at WinterPlace Park on May 31st from 1 to 5 pm.
