After the game Head Coach Chad Whittington had this to say about finally beating Parkside and his teams mentality:

“I’m feeling amazing. I mean, again,” explained Whittington.  “That’s probably between them (Parkside) and Decatur just the class of the Bayside and to come away with a win against them really kind of sets your program at a new level. So we’re just we’re ecstatic. Our motto today was to not blink. Every time we seemed to play Parkside, we seemed to blink, and then they take over the game. So our motto today was not to blink, and that’s what they did. They waited till their opportunity came in the sixth inning and they seized it and came away with the win.”
