Wicomico Co. Councilman Shane Baker announces resignation

WICOMICO CO., Md. – Wicomico County Councilman Shane Baker has resigned from his position as the District 3 Representative.

In a letter submitted to Council President John Cannon, Baker wrote, “I, Shane Baker, do hereby immediately resign my position on the Wicomico County Council because I am imminently relocating my primary residence to Delaware. Pursuant to Wicomico County Charter Section 202(E), I am deemed to have resigned from office upon moving my residence from my Councilmanic District. Thank you.”

The Wicomico County Council is extending its appreciation to Baker for his service to the citizens of Wicomico County, and they wish him well in his future endeavors.
