Decatur softball holds on to beat Delmar

BERLIN, Md.- Stephen Decatur softball held off Delmar 4-3, Friday evening in Berlin.

In the bottom of the 3rd inning, Stephen Decatur’s Ryleigh Smith hits the ball deep into center field getting a RBI and bringing Laci Hertzog home. Emily Blume will hit a pop fly past second getting a RBI while Hayden Esworthy scores.

The top of the 5th inning Delmar will tie it up at 2.

In the bottom of the 5th inning Stephen Decatur will regain the lead, 3-2 heading into the 6th.

In the bottom of the 6th inning Stephen Decatur will extend their lead as they score again. Decatur up 4-2 going into the 7th inning.

Delmar trying to make a comeback will score in the 7th inning but it will not be enough.

Stephen will remain undefeated as they advance their record to 7-0 on the season.

Their next game will be against Easton High School at home Mon Apr 7, at 4pm.
