Good Morning Delmarva discusses Wor-Wic’s 50th Anniversary Celebration

WMDT – Wor-Wic Community College has two upcoming events featuring inspiring writers as guests for their 50th-anniversary celebration.

One is a famous author and former advisor to the president of Chile, and another is a current U.S. poet Laureate whose poem is engraved on a NASA probe!

This morning, Dr. David Mongor-Lizarrabengoa, Associate Professor of Spanish, and Juley Harper, Associate Professor of English, stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to share more.

We’re told student and faculty writers can publish their work in Wor-Wic’s Echoes and Visions book.

They invite speakers to speak with aspiring writers and for the 50th anniversary, they wanted to have very popular authors.

Harper tells us they want to introduce people to a diverse range of writers and allow them to envision themselves in a similar position one day.

These events are free and open to anybody interested.

To learn more about these events, you can visit the events section at www.worwic.edu
