The 3rd Annual Worcester County Community Baby shower is on the way

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – If you are a new or upcoming mom in Worcester County, you’re in luck, the Judy center is hosting a Community Baby Shower.

Stress-free Shower

For the 3rd year in a row, Worcester County Moms are being celebrated so they can relieve some of the stress that comes with being a new mom.

The Community Baby Shower hosted by the Judy Center, will provide stuffed diaper bags for all moms and a catered lunch. There will also be games and door prizes.

Educate & Encourage

Jahniqua Johnson is the site facilitator at the Judy Center at Snow Hill Elementary and the organizer of the event. She says this event is meant to educate and encourage women, so they can leave with resources beyond the shower.

“It is very important for parents to know they have that help after the baby comes. I know it can be a stressful time trying to set a new routine, trying to see what works and what doesn’t work.”

Center for Children 

The Judy Center’s mission is to integrate programs and approaches that support young children’s development while helping families support their children’s early learning. Johnson says at this event they help mothers enjoy the best moments but prepare for the worst.

“We felt that there was a huge need for parent education as far as safe sleep. We have a mother and babies’ program that we do here at the Judy Center and at the baby shower we do car seat safety checks, and there’s so many of our community partners that have so much to offer. ”
