QUANTICO, Md. – Congratulations to our March teacher who makes a difference,  Ms. Nicole Williams is a Librarian and Media Specialist at Westside Primary School.

Williams has been in education for over 30 years, whether teaching in the classroom or fostering students’ love for reading in the library, we’re told she has
a unique way of making kids feel welcome. Nominators say her library space creates a unique learning environment that keeps students engaged throughout the year, including a library pet bunny.

Her passion for reading, teaching, and caring for students is shown daily. “It is quite an honor, our classroom teachers are working hard day in and day out and I just want to do whatever I can to support them.” Williams adds, “Having patience and flexibility, rolling with it, things change every day. Every day is different and just going with it and doing whatever you can to support the staff, the students, of course, being there for kids and loving them.”

The Teacher Who Makes A Difference award is brought to you in part by Pam Price and Associates. WMDT surprised Ms. Williams with goodies, flowers, and a certificate.
