DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested two people on murder charges stemming from a death investigation in Dover.

On Thursday, troopers were called to the 13000 block of Wyoming Mill Road for a welfare check on a resident following a report from a healthcare facility that caused concern for the resident’s safety and well-being. On arrival, troopers reportedly found the victim, identified as 77-year-old Lynda Carson-Fizer, deceased with physical injuries. The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit was called in to assume the investigation.

The subsequent investigation revealed that an acquaintance of the victim, 38-year-old Brandon Holland, allegedly assaulted the victim during an argument on March 17th.
